Full Time Summer Students
Mount Polley Mining Corporation (MPMC) has positions available for full-time Summer Students. The successful candidates will be physically fit with the ability to lift 40 lbs, crouch, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and ladders. The shift schedules available will be both 7 12-hour shifts of work followed by 7 days of rest and 4 10-hour shifts followed by 3 days of rest. However, the incumbent must be flexible to work any shift structures assigned; weekends, overtime and off shift work.
Minimum Qualifications & Preferences
- Valid drivers license
- Must be willing to work shift work, nights, weekends and holidays
- Will need to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects, shovelling for extended periods in awkward positions
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be attending a school in the fall
